     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Ph.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹ He was 1st Permanent Under-Secretary to the Welsh Office between 1964 and 1969.¹ He was chairman of S4C Television.¹ He was the Principal at University College of Wales, Aberystywth, Cardiganshire, Wales^G.¹

     Owen Lloyd George, 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor was born on 28 April 1924.² He was the son of Richard Lloyd George, 2nd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor and Roberta Ida Freeman McAlpine.² He married, firstly, Ruth Margaret Coit, daughter of Richard Coit, on 8 September 1949.² He and Ruth Margaret Coit were divorced in 1982.² He married, secondly, Cecily Josephine Gordon-Cumming, daughter of Major Sir Alexander Penrose Gordon-Cumming of Altyre, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Topham Richardson, on 16 June 1982.³ He died on 29 July 2010 at age 86.⁴
     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of Captain in the Welsh Guards.² He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, in Italy.² He succeeded as the 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor [U.K., 1945] on 1 May 1968.² He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Gwynedd, of Dwyfor, co. Caernarvon [U.K., 1945] on 1 May 1968.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dyfed in 1993.² He lived in 2003 at Ffynone, Boncath, Dyfed, Wales^G.²

     Ruth Margaret Coit was the daughter of Richard Coit.¹ She married Owen Lloyd George, 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor, son of Richard Lloyd George, 2nd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor and Roberta Ida Freeman McAlpine, on 8 September 1949.¹ She and Owen Lloyd George, 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor were divorced in 1982.¹ She died on 16 May 2003.¹
     From 8 September 1949, her married name became Lloyd George. After her marriage, Ruth Margaret Coit was styled as Countess Lloyd George on 1 May 1968.

     Hester Egerton was the daughter of John Egerton and Elizabeth Barbour.¹ She married William Tatton, son of William Tatton.¹ She died on 9 July 1780.¹ She was buried on 14 July 1780 at Northenden, Manchester, Cheshire, England.²
     Her married name became Tatton.¹ On 8 May 1780 her name was legally changed to Egerton by Royal Licence.¹

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was styled as Viscount Gwynedd between 1968 and 2010.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor [U.K., 1945] on 29 July 2010.² He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Gwynedd, of Dwyfor, co. Caernarvon [U.K., 1945] on 29 July 2010.²

     Pamela Alexandra Kleyff is the daughter of Alexander Kleyff.¹ She married David Richard Owen Lloyd George, 4th Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor, son of Owen Lloyd George, 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor and Ruth Margaret Coit, in 1985.¹
     From 1985, her married name became Lloyd George.
