Owen Lloyd George, 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor was born on 28 April 1924.2 He was the son of Richard Lloyd George, 2nd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor and Roberta Ida Freeman McAlpine.2 He married, firstly, Ruth Margaret Coit, daughter of Richard Coit, on 8 September 1949.2 He and Ruth Margaret Coit were divorced in 1982.2 He married, secondly, Cecily Josephine Gordon-Cumming, daughter of Major Sir Alexander Penrose Gordon-Cumming of Altyre, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Topham Richardson, on 16 June 1982.3 He died on 29 July 2010 at age 86.4
He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Welsh Guards.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1944 and 1945, in Italy.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl Lloyd George of Dwyfor [U.K., 1945] on 1 May 1968.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Gwynedd, of Dwyfor, co. Caernarvon [U.K., 1945] on 1 May 1968.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dyfed in 1993.2 He lived in 2003 at Ffynone, Boncath, Dyfed, WalesG.2
