     George Chaworth, 1st Viscount Chaworth of Armagh was the son of John Chaworth and Jane Vincent.1 He married Mary Knyveton, daughter of William Knyveton and Jane Leeche.1 He died on 3 July 1639 at Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 15 July 1639 at Langar, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Retford from 1588 to 1589.1 He was appointed Knight on 29 May 1605 at Greenwich, London, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Constable of Bristol Castle between 1 April 1616 and 1639.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Nottinghamshire between 1620 and 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Arundel from January 1623/24 to March 1623/24.1 He was created 1st Viscount Chaworth of Armagh, co. Armagh [Ireland] on 4 March 1627/28.1 He was created 1st Baron Chaworth of Tryme, co. Meath [Ireland] on 4 March 1627/28.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire between November 1638 and 1639.1

     Her married name became Chaworth.1
