George Agar, 1st and last Baron Callan1 
He was educated between 1767 and 1769 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He matriculated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 2 April 1770.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Callan [Ireland] between 1777 and 1790.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 12 September 1789.1 He was created 1st Baron Callan, of Callan, co. Kilkenny [Ireland] on 4 June 1790.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Ireland] between 1801 and 1815.1
On his death, his barony became extinct.2
