     Colonel Sir Richard Hamilton Glyn, 5th/9th Bt. was born on 12 October 1907.² He was the son of Sir Richard FitzGerald Glyn, 4th/8th Bt. and Edith Hilda Hamilton-Gordon.² He married, firstly, Lyndsay Mary Baker, daughter of Horace Baker, on 2 November 1939.² He married, secondly, Barbara Jardine, daughter of William Charles Ritchie Jardine, in 1970.² He died on 24 October 1980 at age 73 at London, England.^2,3
     He was commissioned in 1927 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Dorset Yeomanry.² He graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1935 entitled to practise as a barrister.² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Temporary Major in 1940.² He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in 1944.² He was commanding officer of the Queen’s Own Dorset Yeomanry between 1944 and 1945.² He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1945.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset in 1952.² He was commanding officer of the Queen’s Own Dorset Yeomanry between 1953 and 1956.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1955.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Dorset between 1957 and 1970.² He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1958.² He held the office of President of the Board of Trade in 1958.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset in 1960.² He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Glyn, of Ewell, Surrey [G.B., 1759] on 23 March 1960.² He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Glyn, of Gaunts, Dorset [G.B., 1800] on 23 March 1960.² He was chairman of Cruft’s in 1963.² He was Commissioner of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in 1965.²

     Amanda Jane Glyn was born on 24 November 1940.² She is the daughter of Colonel Sir Richard Hamilton Glyn, 5th/9th Bt. and Lyndsay Mary Baker.² She married Lt.-Col. Charles John Holroyd, son of Major Charles Ivor Patrick Holroyd and Lady Sheila Mary Cairns, on 18 January 1969.¹
     From 18 January 1969, her married name became Holroyd. She lived in 2003 at Providence Cottage, Chute Cadley, Hampshire, England^G.²

     Charles Wilfrid Holroyd was born in 1970.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Charles John Holroyd and Amanda Jane Glyn.²
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     George Alexander James Holroyd was born in 1974.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Charles John Holroyd and Amanda Jane Glyn.²

     Joanna Mary Ursula Holroyd was born in 1972.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles John Holroyd and Amanda Jane Glyn.²
     She was educated at Sherborne School for Girls, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ She was educated at Exeter University, Exeter, Devon, England^G.¹

     Richard Norton Holroyd was born in 1946.¹ He is the son of Major Charles Ivor Patrick Holroyd and Lady Sheila Mary Cairns.² He married Karine Phélip, daughter of Raymond Phélip, in 1977.¹
     He lived in 2003 at Les Lausiers, Condillac, Montelimar, France^G.¹

     Karine Phélip is the daughter of Raymond Phélip.² She married Richard Norton Holroyd, son of Major Charles Ivor Patrick Holroyd and Lady Sheila Mary Cairns, in 1977.¹
     From 1977, her married name became Holroyd.

     Wilfrid Andrew Holroyd was born in 1980.¹ He is the son of Richard Norton Holroyd and Karine Phélip.² He married Sarah Isabelle Jeuvell on 11 June 2011 at Mirmande, France.³

     Alistair Hugo Holroyd was born in 1985.¹ He is the son of Richard Norton Holroyd and Karine Phélip.²
