     Matilda Cookson was the daughter of Thomas Cookson and Elizabeth Selby.^2,3 She married Sir Richard Pierce Butler, 9th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Butler, 8th Bt. and Frances Graham-Clarke, on 28 May 1835.¹ She died on 18 September 1893.¹ She was buried at Clonmulah, Ireland^G.³
     From 28 May 1835, her married name became Butler.

     Dorothy B. Gubbins is the son of Reverend Edward Ernest Gubbins and Florence Emily Murray.¹

     Richard Pierce Butler was born on 30 April 1839.¹ He was the son of Sir Richard Pierce Butler, 9th Bt. and Matilda Cookson.² He married Florence Isabel Hamilton, daughter of Hans Henry Hamilton, on 15 November 1864.¹ He died on 21 March 1912 at age 72.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 78th Higlanders.¹

     Hans Henry Hamilton was born in 1800.² He was the son of Henry Hamilton and Mary Wetherall.² He died in 1885.²
     He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)¹

     Florence Isabel Hamilton was the daughter of Hans Henry Hamilton.² She married Richard Pierce Butler, son of Sir Richard Pierce Butler, 9th Bt. and Matilda Cookson, on 15 November 1864.¹ She died on 15 June 1924.¹
     From 15 November 1864, her married name became Butler.

     Hans Pierce Butler was born in March 1880.¹ He was the son of Richard Pierce Butler and Florence Isabel Hamilton.² He married, firstly, Lenora Agnes Selina Moulson, daughter of William Edward Spurstow Moulson, on 30 December 1908.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Maude Knight in November 1932.² He died in 1940.²

     William Edward Spurstow Moulson lived at Solsgirth, Manitoba, Canada^G.¹
