     Nicola Guthrie was the daughter of Rt. Rev. John Guthrie, 11th of Guthrie.¹ She married Reverend Joseph Brodie, son of David Brodie, 13th of Brodie and Janet Hay.¹ She died in October 1668.¹

     Alexander Brodie, 12th of Brodie was the son of Thomas Brodie, 11th of Brodie and Agnes Schaw.¹ He married Marjory Dunbar in 1553. He married Margaret Hay in 1569.¹ He died in 1583.¹
     Alexander Brodie, 12th of Brodie also went by the nick-name of Alexander ‘the Rebel’.¹ He held the position of 12th Chief of the Clan Brodie from in 1547.¹

     Marjory Dunbar married Alexander Brodie, 12th of Brodie, son of Thomas Brodie, 11th of Brodie and Agnes Schaw, in 1553.
