     Alfred Deane Cain is the son of Robert Cain and Anne Newall.¹

     Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. was born on 7 May 1864.¹ He was the son of Robert Cain and Anne Newall.¹ He married Florence Roberts, daughter of Joseph Oakes Roberts, on 8 April 1886.¹ He died on 5 May 1924 at age 59.¹
     He held the office of Governor of Liverpool University.¹ He was appointed Knight.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Cain, of Wargrave Manor, Wargrave, co. Berks [U.K.] on 29 January 1920.¹

     Florence Roberts was the daughter of Joseph Oakes Roberts.¹ She married Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt., son of Robert Cain and Anne Newall, on 8 April 1886.¹ She died on 9 June 1936.¹
     From 8 April 1886, her married name became Cain.¹

     Joseph Oakes Roberts lived at Manchester, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. was born on 25 September 1891.¹ He was the son of Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. and Florence Roberts.¹ He married Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow, daughter of George Glasgow, on 17 July 1923.¹ He died in 1969.¹
     He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1914 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1920 entitled to practise as a Barrister.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Cain, of Wargrave Manor, Wargrave, co. Berks [U.K., 1920] on 5 May 1924.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow is the daughter of George Glasgow.¹ She married Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Ernst Cain, 1st Bt. and Florence Roberts, on 17 July 1923.¹
     From 17 July 1923, her married name became Cain.¹

     George Glasgow lived at Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹

     Michael Ernest Cain was born on 18 July 1929.¹ He was the son of Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. and Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow.¹ He died on 11 March 1955 at age 25 at Alexandria, Egypt^G, accidentally drowned.¹

     Ann Cain was born on 13 June 1925.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. and Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow.¹ She died on 28 April 1998 at age 72.¹

     Joan Cain was born on 13 June 1925.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Ernest Cain, 2nd Bt. and Enid Bertha Willoughby Glasgow.¹ She married Ian Merrick Cuthbertson Hill, son of Thomas Cuthbertson Hill, on 17 April 1952.¹ She died on 1 April 2000 at age 74.¹
     From 17 April 1952, her married name became Hill.¹
