He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Blount, of Sodington, co. Worcester [E., 1642] on 12 November 1667.1 He wrote the book The Office of the Holy Week, published 1670, translating it from French.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Worcestershire from 1687 to 1688.1

David Wingate Buffett1 
David was blinded in one eye by a horse accident in his late teens. He moved
to Australia shortly after to seek work. He worked as a boundry rider on
properties in NSW for about 10 years, moved to Sydney at the outbreak of WWII
with a view to enlist, but was rejected because of the eye. Worked in a
foundry making ammunition casings, a temporary job that lasted 29 years!1 Reference: ‘WINNIE.1‘
