Evan Cheers Anderson1 
An athlete in his youth, he excelled in swimming, boxing, and soccar. He was the Featherweight Boxing Champion of the British Army in 1936/9. With the 4th/9th Royal Dragoon Guards, he served in North Africa, the Middle East, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany, being discharged in 1945. He migrated to Australia in 1949 with wife and three children, but his wife didn’t like Australia, and returned with the children to England. He was a parish councillor in the Church of England.1
