     Henry Lee was born circa 1844 at Highbury Grove, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Henry Charles Lee and Lucy Cover.¹ He married Maria Clarance Smith, daughter of Benjamin Smith and Maria Lavers, on 23 September 1857 at Hornsey Church, Essex, England^G.¹ He died on 27 December 1908 at Earlham, Littlehampton, Sussex, England^G.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was a trustee of the Cheshunt Ecclesiastical College, where he founded the Lee Scholarship.¹ He was a director of the London Missionary Society.¹
