     Hon. Nina Maria Hood was the daughter of General Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport of Cricket St. Thomas and Lady Mary Penelope Hill.1 She married Lt.-Col. George Arthur Ferguson, 6th of Pitfour, son of Admiral George Ferguson, 5th of Pitfour and Hon. Elizabeth Jane Rowley, on 7 February 1861.1 She died on 5 June 1923, without issue.1
     From 7 February 1861, her married name became Ferguson.1 She held the office of Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Victoria between 1877 and 1901.1 She was appointed Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.)1
