     Helen Ogilvie was baptised on 6 January 1740/41 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of William Ogilvie and Helen Baird.² She married William Shand, 2nd of Craigellie, son of James Shand, 1st of Craigellie and Jean Russell, on 19 February 1767 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ She died on 26 April 1819 at age 78.
     From 19 February 1767, her married name became Shand.¹

     Alexander Garden Shand was born on 23 March 1783 at Loudon, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of William Shand, 2nd of Craigellie and Helen Ogilvie.¹ He married Isabella Morton on 5 June 1809 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Hugh Morton Shand was born on 13 January 1815 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of Alexander Garden Shand and Isabella Morton.¹ He married, secondly, Edrica Faulkner on 15 August 1857 at St. James’s, Paddington, London, England^G.¹ He died on 24 June 1890 at age 75 at 13 Leinster Gardens, Hyde Park, London, England^G.¹

     Edrica Faulkner was born circa 1822 at Florence, Italy^G.¹ She married Hugh Morton Shand, son of Alexander Garden Shand and Isabella Morton, on 15 August 1857 at St. James’s, Paddington, London, England^G.¹ She died on 30 November 1890 at 32 Kensington Court Mansions, Kensington, London, England^G.¹
     From 15 August 1857, her married name became Shand.¹

     Alexander Faulkner Shand was born on 20 May 1858 at Bayswater, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of Hugh Morton Shand and Edrica Faulkner.¹ He married Augusta Mary Coates, daughter of Dr. Charles Coates and Sara Clegg Hope, on 22 March 1887.¹ He died on 6 January 1936 at age 77 at 1 Edwardes Place, Kensington, London, England^G.¹

     Edith Marguerite Harrington was born on 14 June 1893 at 32 Linver Road, Fulham, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of George Woods Harrington and Alice Edith Stillman.² She married, firstly, Philip Morton Shand, son of Alexander Faulkner Shand and Augusta Mary Coates, on 22 April 1916 at St. Peter’s Church, Hammersmith, London, England^G.¹ She and Philip Morton Shand were divorced in 1920.¹ She married, secondly, Major Herbert Charles Coningsey Tippet, son of Major Charles Henry Tippet and Edith Alice Goodson, in 1921 at St. Martin’s-in-the-Fields, London, England.³ She died in 1981.²
     Edith Marguerite Harrington usually went by her middle name of Margot.¹ From 22 April 1916, her married name became Shand.¹ From 1921, her married name became Tippet.³

     William Howard, 3rd Baron Howard of Effingham was born on 27 December 1577.¹ He was the son of Charles Howard, 1st Earl of Nottingham and Katherine Carey.¹ He married Hon. Ann St. John, daughter of John St. John, 2nd Baron Saint John of Bletso and Catherine Dormer, on 7 February 1596/97.^2,3 He died on 28 November 1615 at age 37 at Hampton, London, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Howard of Effingham, co. Surrey [E., 1554], in the lifetime of his father.³
