     Major Edmund John Arthur was born on 29 March 1873.¹ He was the son of John Raynor Arthur and Hon. Aileen Spring Rice.¹ He married Kathleen Emily Isabel Ida Simkins, daughter of George Penn Simkins, on 1 August 1921.¹ He died on 26 January 1953 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 7th Bombay Lancers.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹

     Kathleen Emily Isabel Ida Simkins is the daughter of George Penn Simkins.¹ She married, firstly, Major Edmund John Arthur, son of John Raynor Arthur and Hon. Aileen Spring Rice, on 1 August 1921.¹ She married, secondly, Arnold Richmond on 20 February 1958.¹
     From 1 August 1921, her married name became Arthur.¹ From 20 February 1958, her married name became Richmond.¹

     Arnold Richmond married Kathleen Emily Isabel Ida Simkins, daughter of George Penn Simkins, on 20 February 1958.¹

     George Penn Simkins was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     George Henry Edmond Arthur was born on 25 March 1927.¹ He is the son of Major Edmund John Arthur and Kathleen Emily Isabel Ida Simkins.¹ He married Kathleen Bow, daughter of Frederick Joseph Bow, on 8 July 1950.¹
     He graduated with a Graduate, Institute of Mechanical Enginners (G.I.Mech.E.)¹

     Kathleen Bow is the daughter of Frederick Joseph Bow.¹ She married George Henry Edmond Arthur, son of Major Edmund John Arthur and Kathleen Emily Isabel Ida Simkins, on 8 July 1950.¹
     From 8 July 1950, her married name became Arthur.¹
