     Ada Jane Evelyn was the daughter of William John Evelyn and Frances Harriet Chichester.^1,2 She married Philip Stewart Mackenzie Arbuthnot, son of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther, on 11 December 1906.¹ She died on 14 October 1946.¹
     From 11 December 1906, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹ She wrote the book Memories of the Arbuthnots of Kincardineshire and Aberdeenshire.³

     William John Evelyn was born on 27 July 1822.³ He was the son of George Evelyn and Mary Jane Massy-Dawson.³ He married Frances Harriet Chichester, daughter of Reverend George Vaughan Chichester and Harriet Eleanor Lyle, on 28 October 1873.³ He died on 26 June 1908 at age 85.³
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Surrey between 1849 and 1857.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of Surrey in 1860.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Deptford between 1885 and 1888.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey.¹ He lived at Wotton, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Mary Evelyn Arbuthnot was born on 14 August 1907 at Chelsea, London, England.^1,3 She was the daughter of Philip Stewart Mackenzie Arbuthnot and Ada Jane Evelyn.¹ She died on 1 January 1995 at age 87 at Isle of Man.^1,3

     Keith Fraser Arbuthnot was born on 27 May 1864 at Madras, India.^1,2 He was the son of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther.¹ He married Mabel Constance Elizabeth Robertson, daughter of General David Robertson, on 14 March 1899.¹ He died on 31 October 1914 at age 50.¹
     He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England^G.² He was a produce broker at Mincing Lane, London, England.² He lived at Sumner Place, Billingshurst, Sussex, England.²

     Mabel Constance Elizabeth Robertson was born circa 1877 at India.² She was the daughter of General David Robertson.¹ She married Keith Fraser Arbuthnot, son of William Reierson Arbuthnot and Mary Helen Anstruther, on 14 March 1899.¹ She died on 13 December 1918.²
     From 14 March 1899, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     General David Robertson gained the rank of General in the 44th Gurkhas.²

     Joyce Frances Arbuthnot was born on 1 August 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Keith Fraser Arbuthnot and Mabel Constance Elizabeth Robertson.¹ She married Captain Ivan Beale Colvin, son of Lt.-Col. Cecil Hodgson Colvin, on 15 December 1931.¹ She died in September 1983 at age 81.¹
     From 15 December 1931, her married name became Colvin.¹ She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Captain Ivan Beale Colvin was born on 12 July 1891.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Cecil Hodgson Colvin.¹ He married Joyce Frances Arbuthnot, daughter of Keith Fraser Arbuthnot and Mabel Constance Elizabeth Robertson, on 15 December 1931.¹ He died on 12 October 1962 at age 71.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Kilmeston, Hampshire, England^G.³

     Lt.-Col. Cecil Hodgson Colvin was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹
