     Anne Alves was the daughter of John Alves and Helen Baillie.^1,2 She married Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt., son of Robert Arbuthnot, 2nd of Haddo-Rattray and Mary Urquhart, on 13 September 1800.¹ She died on 19 July 1846.¹
     From 13 September 1800, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     John Alves lived at Shipland, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     John Alves Arbuthnot was born on 3 October 1802 at Queen Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.^1,2 He was the son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves.¹ He married Mary Arbuthnot, daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser, on 2 June 1832 at Marylebone, London, England^G.^1,2 He died on 2 August 1875 at age 72.¹
     He was founding partner of Arbuthnot Latham & Company.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Coworth Park, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Mary Arbuthnot was born on 29 April 1812 at Madras, India^G.^1,2 She was the daughter of George Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fraser.¹ She married John Alves Arbuthnot, son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves, on 2 June 1832 at Marylebone, London, England^G.^1,2 She died on 30 March 1859 at age 46.¹

     John Sten Robert Arbuthnot was born on 3 January 1941.¹ He is the son of G/Capt. Terence John Arbuthnot and Karin Gunborg Sundgren.¹ He married, firstly, Hon. Elizabeth Marjorie Plumb, daughter of Charles Henry Plumb, Baron Plumb and Marjorie Dorothy Dunn, on 8 October 1971.¹ He and Hon. Elizabeth Marjorie Plumb were divorced in 1982.¹ He married, secondly, Swee Lien Ong, daughter of Boon Bah Ong, on 14 February 1984.¹ He and Swee Lien Ong were divorced in 1999.²
     John Sten Robert Arbuthnot usually went by his middle name of Robin.¹ He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Flat 6, 86 Redcliffe Gardens, London, England^G.¹

     Adolphine Eliza Macleod Lecot was born circa 1840.² She was the daughter of Edward Lecot.¹ She married William Arbuthnot, son of John Alves Arbuthnot and Mary Arbuthnot, on 5 January 1858.¹ She died on 12 December 1858 at Madras, India^G.^1,2
     From 5 January 1858, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Edward Lecot held the office of French Consul to Madras.¹

     Margaret Rosa Campbell was born on 3 September 1842 at Argyllshire, Scotland^G.² She was the daughter of John Campbell, 5th of Knockbury and 9th of Kilberry and Rosa MacBean.^1,3 She was baptised on 25 December 1842 at Kilberry, Argyllshire, Scotland.³ She married William Arbuthnot, son of John Alves Arbuthnot and Mary Arbuthnot, on 12 July 1865.¹ She died on 11 May 1918 at age 75.¹
     Margaret Rosa Campbell usually went by her middle name of Rosa.² From 12 July 1865, her married name became Arbuthnot.¹

     Adolphine Mary Arbuthnot was born on 12 January 1868 at Madras, India^G.² She was the daughter of William Arbuthnot and Margaret Rosa Campbell.¹ She married Charles Edward Brownrigg, son of Thomas Marcus Brownrigg and Meriel Anne Watt, on 22 December 1897.¹ She died on 18 December 1904 at age 36.¹
     Adolphine Mary Arbuthnot usually went by her middle name of Mary.² From 22 December 1897, her married name became Brownrigg.¹
