Sir Arthur Acheson, 5th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Acheson, of Market Hill [in Clonekearney], co. Armagh [N.S., 1628] in 1701.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, on 25 May 1705.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1707 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mullingar [Ireland] between 1727 and 1749.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Armagh in 1728.1 His last will was dated 23 November 1748.

Archibald Acheson, 1st Viscount Gosford of Market Hill was born on 1 September 1718.1 He was also reported to have been born on 15 September 1717 at Markethill, Mullaghbrack, County Armagh, IrelandG.3 He was the son of Sir Arthur Acheson, 5th Bt. and Anne Savage.1 He was baptised on 29 September 1718.1 He married Mary Richardson, daughter of John Richardson and Anne Beckett, in 1740.1 He died on 5 September 1790 at age 72 at Markethill, Mullaghbrack, County Armagh, IrelandG.3
He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the University of Dublin [Ireland] between 1741 and 1760.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Acheson, of Market Hill [in Clonekearney], co. Armagh [N.S., 1628] on 8 February 1748/49.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Armagh in 1751.1 He held the office of Deputy Governor of County Armagh between 1756 and 1761.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Cavan in 1761.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Armagh [Ireland] between 1761 and 1776.1,4 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] on 7 May 1770.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Enniskillen [Ireland] in 1776.1 He was created 1st Baron Gosford of Market Hill, co. Armagh [Ireland] on 20 July 1776.1 He was created 1st Viscount Gosford of Market Hill, co. Armagh [Ireland] on 20 June 1785.1
